The Trans North Bus Service runs regularly between Cairns, Kuranda, the Atherton Tablelands, Kurumba and Cooktown. John’s Kuranda Bus is a cheaper alternative to the Trans North Bus service . Instead of a large coach, John’s Kuranda Bus is a small mini bus. If the mini bus is busy, you will have the opportunity to chat to the person next to you. The shuttle runs between two to five times a day between Cairns’ Lake St Transit Centre and Kuranda, taking just 30 minutes. The pickup point from Kuranda is the same as the main bus drop off point, next to the steps.
